Since 2014, the Association For Tállya [Tállyáért Egyesület in HU] has been organising top-class musical evenings at the Maillot Mansion in Tállya. 10th June saw harmonica player Mátyás Pribojszki and his band return to the venue after their immensely successful Tállya debut back in February 2015. This time, they were joined by New Orleans bluesman Andy J Forest, an internationally renowned entertainer, who was naturally switching between harmonica, guitar and washboard during the evening.
Tállyai BorBár [Tállya Wine Bar in EN] is an initiative of the Association For Tállya [Tállyáért Egyesület in HU], a group of enthusiatic locals and non-locals determined to breathe new life back into a now rather sleepy Tállya that used to be one of the region's most bustling towns. A principle driving force behind Tállyai BorBár is Kriszta Márton-Kováts, manager of local Oroszlános Wine Restaurant and Hotel.
A precious piece of Tállya's abundant built heritage, the Maillot Mansion used to be the venue of a summer fine arts workshop until the mid-2000's before falling into disuse and increasing disrepair. It was formally reopened in the summer of 2014 as a centre of arts and culture by the Association For Tállya.
